I am requesting admission into the 44th Fleet, Engineering Division

I am an IT student studying Network Security and my previous computer experience is hobby level video production, audio production(I play guitar), and exploration of virtual machines.
Kugis Borgir has spawned my interest in STO and I am very excited about embarking on my maiden voyage into MMO via STO. In the next few months I am going to building my own system with STO as one of the basis for its design (along with my sound studio and multiple vm’s).As I stated earlier I am A noob when it comes to MMO gaming but I am committed to doing my homework on the game and MMO gaming in general (but any tips from you vets will be welcomed)
I look forward to becoming a member of the fleet…

Good timing on your application (I just woke-up, lol) and even though the admirals have yet to officially add you to the fleet roster, I'm going to go ahead and add you to the engineering division with a "field commission" of ensign. I am hereby personally vouching for ensign Mjollnir's integrity and worthiness as a fleet member; with any luck my recommendation will pull enough weight to make that official pretty soon.

Just some housekeeping items:
1) You can download your avatar under 'profile' and then 'avatar'. Look in the gallery. Your avatar is the gold/yellow one with the single gold pip (first one in the last row). You can copy this into your STO (star trek online) forum avatar too.

2) Because STO has not launched yet, promotions in rank will be based on activity on the STO forums, activity in recruting, and activity here on our forums. We do expect members to have at least a minimum amount of activity in order to be kept on the fleet roster. We like to keep our STO forum thread bumped to the first page to maintain visibility, so posting there will be helpful too. Please use the existing link, and do not start a new thread over there. 3) There is an "introduce yourself" thread in the "Fleet Tactics" forum (which you should have access to momentarily). Tell us a little about yourself. This area of the website is visible only to members of the 44th.

4) We have an RP (role-playing) forum, but this is optional.

If you have any questions about the fleet, the game, or Star Trek in general, just post it on our forums here or at the STO forums. Or, you can PM me if you like.

lol, I didn't mean to step on your toes there, Latinumbar. I saw that you were in the list of users currently online, but I've also noticed recently that it takes the website a while (at least when I login/logout) to remove a user from the list of those online, so I wasn't sure if you were actually there or not. Either way, thanks for taking care of it.

That is correct, I'm still working on my first cup of coffee and didn't read carefully when I copied/pasted the housekeeping tips from one of Latinumbar's posts.

EDIT: This has now been fixed.

Thank you for admitting me to the fleet. I will do my best to uphold my duties to the 44th, again this is new to me but I am looking forward to going where no me has gone before….
