Customizations

Okay ive been thinking can you change you characters look and what not later down in the game if you get tired of the look. Also can you do this with the ships to? I asume you can with starships, but idk about characters.

(When im talking about changing im talking about changing the appearance of your character later in the game)

i forsee why you couldnt change your appearance later on...CO allowed you to...so it would be safe to say youll be able to in STO

CO was like recreating a whole character other then changing the gender of your character...very indepth

you could change everything from..well just about everything..lol

Well, I can't quote a particular source and also can't vouch 100% (but I'm fairly sure it was an official announcement in an interview) for it's reliability, (because I don't remember where I read it ^^0 ) but I know I read somewhere that you can fully customize the appearance of your BOFFs somehow. As for re-designing your own character's appearance, I have no idea.

EDIT: Also, starships will be hella customizable, that one is straight from Cryptic in different words. They want you to be able to get the look/feel of a particular series if you want it, and I'm betting they'll also have various customization options that will be of their own design for ships.

It seems unlikly that they will let you recustomize your charecter that much, but I hope they will let you change it to a extent such as battle scares and maybe replacement body parts. But you could possible change races to because in Star Trek cosmetic technology allow them to blend in with alien races all the time. All i can say for sure that it will cost you a pretty penny to do somthing like that.
