Dietskittles Asking Permission to Join

In the STO forums I have the same name as well. In the game, I would like to focus on the science fields and exploration. Whichever division you feel I'm suited for I will happily comply. I usually go solo, but for STO I am looking forward to being part of a well structured fleet through which I will be able to gain experience and someday hopefully move up in the ranks. If I'm accepted that would be great, but if not see you guys around!

We are glad that you have decided to join our ranks! You are hereby assigned to our R&D (science) Division, and given a rank of Ensign.

Just some housekeeping items:
1) You can download your avatar under 'profile' and then 'avatar'. Look in the gallery. Your avatar is the blue one with the single gold pip (third row down, second to the right). You can copy this into your STO (star trek online) forum avatar too.

2) Because STO has not launched yet, promotions in rank will be based on activity on the STO forums, activity in recruting, and activity here on our forums. We do expect members to have at least a minimum amount of activity in order to be kept on the fleet roster. We like to keep our STO forum thread bumped to the first page to maintain visibility, so posting there will be helpful too. Please use the existing link, and do not start a new thread over there. 3) There is an "introduce yourself" thread in the "Fleet Tactics" forum (which you should have access to momentarily). Tell us a little about yourself. This area of the website is visible only to members of the 44th. It would be helpful to include your first name, previous MMO experience (if any), and what time zone you are in.


4) We have an RP (role-playing) forum, but this is optional.

Hello and Welcome to the Mighty 44th fleet from the Combat Div.

Just a reminder, that we do expect some level of activity here on the forums from now until the game launches. This is so that the fleet members can get to know one another before launch which makes for a better and more effective gaming experience. We understand if RL issues come up, but if they do, we simply ask that you let us know. Otherwise, you may be moved to inactive status, and your position may be filled by someone else when you return.

Also, don't forget to post something in the 'introduce yourself thread' in the Fleet Tactics forum.
