Captain's Log Stardate 2409.75 Constuction Progress. Captain Alexander Silvryn.



"Today I got my first look at my new command. She is still being built at Earth Station McKinley. Her class is still classified but what I do know is that she is classed under heavy escort. Form what has been breifed to me at this point she is to be out fitted with the newest technology in weapons, shielding, armor, and counter mesures. Not to mention a new type of warp drive cabale of faster Impulse acceleration. She looks like a Floating armory. Phaser and torpedo banks everywhere. Atlest the registry number is now on her hull. NCC-7823. As for a name......I could not think of a better suited name for her other than the "Blood Lust" I am sure once she is ready and the testing of the new systems are complete she will not fail her crew or me.

Also today I have recieved my placement orders. A new Divion fleet as been made to counter the klingon encursion. The 44th. Form what i could gather this fleet is still rather new in the growing Starfleet war effort. But with the information i have gathered it is filled with combat experanced captains. Even lead by the great Admrail Webster. I have never servered with the man but his files says lot about where and how he came to be. I am honored to serving with him soon.

I have been placed in Alpha squad combat Divsion. I am guessing because of my academy days. I was the only one of my class to not only beat the combat tactics simulator but do so with little to no damage to my ship. I can only hope that I can prove that not only this ship is worthy to be among this fine fleet but her captain as well."

Captain's Log Stardate 2409.11.19 Constuction Progress. Captain Alexander Silvryn.

"Today I took a transport over to star base 817 "Eden". My recent orders are to do a meet and greet with the 44th Fleet command. I must say I am rather nervous about the hole thing. I my short Starfleet career I have faced many things, From klingon intorgation methods to watching my captain perish durring a enconter with a klingon battle crusier. This even tops the Promotion I received from Command from that horrid day.

I am impressed that the 44th has so many active ships in space dock. Some very new and some......well lets be honest should be back in the great Admrial James T Kirk's era. Never the less I have always been told "never judge a book by its cover".

The 44th has such a combat back ground I am sure this will be more than a meet and greet type of thing. For now all I can do is sit back and wait. Perhaps they can tell me more about the "Blood Lust" and exactly what class of ship she is. Only time will tell i guess.


I was also instucted to start Picking crew members for this tiny tank. Normaly this is reserved for Starfleet command. But this is war I guess and they would rather see a hand picked cohesive crew than one that was ordered on it. "

"Afew months have past since I last saw the "Blood lust". From what I remeber of her she was still just a hunk of steel in the ship yards. My new orders are to take her out on a final test run to star base 817 for final fleet inspection and outfitting."

Captain Silvryn: Ensign Is that the ship i am to command?

Ensign Peters: Yes sir that is the "Blood Lust" Ncc-7823 Vigilant class. And a damn good looking ship I might ad sir.

Captian Silvryn: Well she looks as mean as her name ensign. Ok take us around I want a good look before we land.

-=After looking over his ship Alexander finaly makes it abord the Blood Lust. As he land he is greeted by his make shift crew. No his hand picked one but a officers and other making port at Eden.=-

First officer: ATTENTION ON DECK! Captain, Welcome aboard sir.

Silvryn: Thankyou.......funny comander i did not get a name. Well I bet I did but I am horrible with them.

First officer Lockheart: Jim Lockheart sir. Please follow me.

-= After a quick run down of the ship and her skeleton crew. The good captain and first mate enter the bridge.=-

Lockheart: Attention on the......

Silvryn: No need Jim. We maybe at war but we do not need all this brass kissing.

Lockheart: Yes sir.

-=Tapping his com badge Alexander adress his crew=-

Silvryn: Ladies and gentalmen. I am Alexander Silvryn. I will be the commander of this ship. Most of you well know that we are making our way to Starbase Eden. Most of you may not be stay aboard but while on this ship we will follow all Starfleet regs. All decks please prepair to leave space dock. Silvryn out.

Con. Please ease us out of space dock and set a course to Eden...Warp 7 please. Also please inform Eden we are on our way.

-= 6 hours out from Starbase 817=-

-=current ship status over orbit of a class C moon. Ship location: Captains ready room=-

Slivryn: So you are telling me that the Warp drive is off line?

Lockheart: Sir you know how these new ships work. You have to get the kinks out of them and make her your own.

Slivryn: Very well. How long till we have warp power Jim?

Lockheart: Well 3 hours at best but all other systems report normal sir. We can move under full impulse but would not recomed pushing past that.

Silvryn:-=Sighs=- Always happens to me. Very well Jim try to get that warp drive working.


-=Suddenly the lights dim and the red alert siren goes off. The ship rocks violatly as both Captain and first mate try to hold on.=-

Silvryn:-= taps com badge=- Silvryn to bridge, What the hell was that?!

Lt Walker: Sir Single bird of prey decloaked. We are under attack.

Silvryn: Shields up, turn off that alarm. get us out of orbit.

-=Back on the bridge of the Blood Lust. Mid conversation with the bird of prey=-

Klingon captain: lower your shields or die federation dogs. In the name of the empire.

Silvryn: no such luck. Silvryn out. all power to what engines we have left, charge phasers!!

-= As the tiny Blood lust manuvers around to take her first shots the bird of prey is much quicker on the draw. The klingon ship opens fire with a burst of disruptor cannon fire and phasers. The blood lust shakes off these hits like the bird of prey was shooting peas at her. This the shields holding Captain Silvryn manuvers his ship for a direct firing line directly aimes at the port side shields of the bird of prey. once a lock was recived the Bloodlust opens fire with an impressive barrage of Class III rapid fire phaser pulse cannons. Only afew of the pulses miss thier mark.=-

-=bridge of the Blood lust=-

Silvryn: hold your fire. Jim you seeing this?

Lockheart: Sir sensors report majot damage to her engines, targeting system and sensors. She is dead in the water sir.

Silvryn: open communications.

Ensign Briggs: open sir.

Silvryn: Klingon captian. Your ship is disabled, power down all defencive and offencive measures. Prepair to be boarded.

Ensign Briggs: no responce sir.

Silvryn: very well. Jim you are with me. get 3 others we are going aboard. Phasers on stun.

-= Aboard the Bird of prey captain Alexander Silvryn, commander loackheart and 3 other officers arive on the bird of prey. little to know resitance was offered once aboard. After some phaser fire and the sad death of one of his own crew they finaly reach the klingon captain.=-

Silvryn: You attack my ship, Kill one of my crew and you want me to kill you?

Klingon captain: Would be more honorable than being a prisoner.

Silvryn: That maybe not there is no honor in attacking a ship in orbit either. Jim search him. make sure there is nothing on this "nuchpu" and put him in the brig.

Stardate-2409

6 hours outside of Starbase 817~~

~~Captain Ardriand Is In his Cabin reading the latest information on Klingon movements, then a warning signal sounds and 1st Officer Korsan speaks to the Captain over the comm link~~

1st Officer Korsan: "Captain, Senors are picking up a Vigilant Class Starship, the ship might of been damaged."

Captain Ardriand: "Thank you, Officer Korsan I'm on my way to the bridge now."

~~Captain Ardriand enters the bridge~~

Captain Ardriand: "Officer Korsan have you attempted to bring up a link with the ship?"

1st Officer Korsan: "No, Captain."

~~Captain Ardriand lightly sighs~~

"Con. Slow thrusters and hover around the Vigilant type ship. Bring up communications as well."

Con officer. "Yes, sir."

~~The USS Expedition hovers near the Vigilant class ship and awaits a response.~~

Lockheart: Sir The USS Expedition is hailing us.

Silvryn: On screen. This captain Silvryn of the USS Blood Lust. You just missed the action...I require assiatance to my warp drive think ya can help?

~~Captain Ardriand and the crew of the USS Expedtion get a response from the USS Blood Lust~~

1st Officer Korsan: "Sir, we've got a link from the ship"

Captain Ardriand: "On screen."

~~Captain Ardriand Inclines his head and smirks slightly back at the Captain of the USS Blood Lust and responds.~~

"Certainly, Captain. I'll send over a squad of our best engineers. Captain Velasar out."

~~Captain Ardriand sends a crew of Engineers to the USS Blood Lust and awaits response.~~

-= Main engine room Uss Blood Lust=-

Silvryn: Good work guys. I am very suprised on how well you all work. I will tell your Captain about this.

Expedition's Lead Engineer: Thankyou sir. It was a plesure to work on this Vigilant class it's a very intresting set up.

Silvryn: Tell your Captain that he and you as well are invited to an officers dinner.

Expedition's Lead Engineer: Thankyou sir I shall relay the message.-= taps com badge =- Exepedition, 3 to beam back.

-=Later at the captain's Ready room=-

Lockheart: Sir as you know I currently do not have placement orders and i was......

Silvryn: Already done Jim. -= tosses him a data pad=- Just came from starfleet. Congradulations Commander. you are now officaly my first officer.

Lockheart: sir permission to speak freely?

Silvryn: Jim in here you do not need to ask for such permission.

Lockheart: Alex did you have something to do with this?

Silvryn: lets just say command owed me a favor.

~~Three Engineers along with Chief Engineer Mack Talon beam back abored the Expedition. Chief Engineer Talon enters Captain Ardriands quarters~~

Chief Engineer Talon: "Captain, The USS Blood Lust is now fully operational. He also wanted me to inform you that we've been invited to dine abored the ship."

~~Captain Ardriand nods~~

Captain Ardriand: "Excellent, well done Officer Talon."

~~Captain Ardriand presses his comm link and orders 1st Officer Korsan to his quarters as well.~~

1st Officer Korsan: "You wished to see me, sir?"

~~Captain Ardriand nods~~ "Thats correct, Adam. I wanted to inform you and you'll be joining Myself and Chief Engineer back abored the USS Blood Lust for dinner."

~~1st Officer Korsan smiles and nods. Then, the Captain, 1st Officer Korsan and Chief Engineer Talon make their way to transporter room and await word from the Blood Lust~~

-= After the normal pleasentries we find the two captain's in the officers mess=-

Silvryn: So, Captain Ardriand, what brings you out here? I mean this corridor is normaly reserved for ships travaling to StarBase 817.

Ardriand: So it is captain, and is the very reasioning behind my route of travel. Starfleet has graced me with orders to "Eden" I am now officaly apart of the 44th science division.

Silvryn: -=laughs=- Well then looks like I will be covering you on them science missions. I Also have been assigned to the 44th. Looks like we are fleet mates. I look foward to servering with.

Ardriand: As do I captain. The Blood lust looks like a fine little ship.

Silvryn: Little?-=eyes captain Ardriand=- Sir there is nothing little about this ship. Its not the size that counts but how you use it. Anyways When on this ship you may call me Alex I hate Brass kissing. Besides there is always a time and place for that sorta thing and right now its not that time.

Ardriand: I am sorry capta...err Alex I did not mean to offend you or this ship.

Silvryn: Think nothing of it.-=Slides him the compute log of the last encounter.=- Look at that when you have a chance. This will show you how "little" she is-= he cracks a Smiles taking a sip of the Romulan Ale. =- If you would like cpatain. we could escourt each other to "eden" the old saying goes 2 ships are always better than one.

Ardraind: That it is Captain that it is. And if you do ot mind I must retire back to my ship. Many things to do before we depart. I would love to scan some of that debree and this moon. good night you all.

-=As the captain from the expedition and guests leave. Alexander adresses his first officer=-

Silvryn: Alittle too tight in the uniform for me Jim, but he seems like he a has a good head on his shoulder.

Lockheart. Aye sir he does. Durring dinner i was informed that "eden" can not wait untill our arival. They are most intresed in out little friend and that battle sir.

Silvryn: Verywell, find out when the expedtion wants to depart. We shall stay here untill she is done doing that science type thing, I am heading for the rack. Good night Jim.

Lockheart: G'night sir.

~~Ardriand and the away crew beam back to the Expedition. Captain Ardriand and First Officer Korsan make their way to the bridge.~~

Captain Ardriand: "Con, center the Expedition over the moon, I want it scanned by this time tomorrow. "

Con: "Aye, sir."

~~Captain Ardriand sinks into the Captains chair and clicks on his comm badge, speaking to the entire ship~~

"Captain Ardriand here, from this point on we shall be scanning this moon and making our way to 'Eden' along side the USS Blood Lust. Ardriand out."

~~Captain Ardriand removes himself from his chair and makes his way to his quarters, 1st Officer Korsan with him~~

Captain Ardriand: "Adam, May I call you Adam? "

1st Officer Korsan: "Certainly, sir."

Captain Ardriand: "Excellent. I'm off to rest, contact the Blood Lust and inform them that we'll be ready to leave shortly after the moon is scanned."

~~1st Officer Korsan informs the Blood lust and scans the moon through out the night~~

Ensign Briggs: Captain on the bridge! -= snaps to attention=-

Silvryn: As you all were. Number one is the "Expedtion" ready?

Lockheart: We received word she is ready when we are captain.

Silvryn: Good inform her captain to set course for "Eden" warp 7. Con do the same, Set course to "Eden" warp 7. Stick close to her Briggs, According to "Eden" she is very important.

Lockheart: Captain um...need to see you in the ready room.

Silvryn: Ok.

-= The both enter the room as the door closes its Lockheart that speaks first =-

Lockheart: The klingon is dead sir. Killed himself last night.

Silvryn: Damn, Ah well you know what do. He do not have the medical means or space to hold his body.

Lockheart: Already done sir. A modded Torpedo carring his body was shot into the local star.

Silvryn: Jim we both no better this is not the real reasion you asked to speak to me here.

Lockerheart: Well sir its about my orders sir.

Silvryn: Jim you know I can not disclose information on how you got those orders.

Lockheart: I know sir but I i have to ask why. I mean clearly there are other quallified officers that have seen more combat than I have.

Silvryn: Jim listen sooner or later you would be pushed into this type of possition...I just sorta helped it along. Besides I can be rather rash in my prosses and need a officer that can keep me in check at times.

Lockheart: Well sir this is true. by the way, that left over ale has been taken care of.

Silvryn: See what i mean, If the 44th fleet comand saw that they would have my neck. Anything else? -= Sits at his desk fubling with a comp pad looking at the latest crew report=-

Lockheart: No sir. And thankyou I shall not let you down.

Silvryn: Don't worry about me Jim its the crew. First rule of command. Ship and crew first. Never let them down and you will not let me down.

Sylvryn: <This is Silvryn.>

Lockhart: <We have a priority one incoming transmission form Starbase 817 on a secured channel, sir>

Silvryn: <I’ll take it in here, commander.>

Pushing a few buttons, Silvryn enters an authorization code on his console. A blue UFP logo screen appears which then gives way to the image of an officer wearing admiral pips.

Latinumbar: Greetings, Captain. I’m Admiral Latinumbar of Starbase 817.

Silvryn: Pleased to make your acquaintance, Admiral. I am sorry for the delay, but we had some trouble with our warp drive, and then we had a run in with some Klingons.

Latinumbar: Klingons? Out in your section of space? Starfleet command is not going to like that news.

Silvryn: It really wasn’t a big problem, as we were the victor in the encounter.

Latinumbar: Good. Is your ship still in need of repair?

Silvryn: No. We had assistance from the USS Expedition. We are now underway escorting her to Starbase 817.

Latinumbar: Which brings me to the reason for my call. Something urgent has come up, and you have new orders. You are to proceed immediately to sector 279 and meet up with the assembled fleet that is there. They apparently are in desperate need of another escort ship. Officially, you are still part of the 44th, so this is considered only a temporary assignment.

Silvryn: But, sir. What about the Expedition? If there are more Klingons in the area, she will need our assistance.

Latinumbar: I don’t like it any more than you do, captain. But this order comes directly from Starfleet command, and unfortunately, I owe Admiral Joslin a substantial favor. Don’t worry about the Expedition. I’ll dispatch the USS Berlin to meet up with her. In the meantime, proceed to sector 279. You will receive further details of the mission from Admiral Joslin when you arrive.

Silvryn: Aye, sir.

Latinumbar: Good luck, Captain. Latinumbar, out.

Silvryn: Lockheart set a course to sector 279 maxium warp. Inform the Expedition that the Berlin is on her way to escort her.

Lockheart: Aye sir. Briggs set a course to secort 279. Con open a channle to the Expedtion put it on screen.

Con Ensign: open sir.

Silvryn: Captain Ardriand, I am under new orders. The USS Berlin will be meeting up with you shortly. Looks like the 44th has other plans for me.

Ardriand: Understood Captain, Alexander.....god speed. Ardriand out.

Silvryn: number one you have the bridge. At this time i do not wish to be disturbed understood?

Lockheart. Aye sir.

-=Arrival at sector 279=-

Briggs: Commander Lockheart we are nearing sector 279 should i drop us out of warp sir?

Lockheart: Aye Briggs. -=Taps combadge=- <Lockheart to Captain Silvryn You are needed on the bridge sir.>

Silvryn:<on my way>

-= on the bridge we find Alexander just arriving=-

Briggs: Sir sensors indicate a large number of ferderation ships.

Silvryn: Aye Open a link to Admiral Josiln. Inform him we await our next orders. Oh and Briggs. When responds send it to my ready room.

Briggs: aye sir.

-=Alex walks off the bridge and to his ready room=-

Briggs: Comander any idea whats going on sir? I mean we have oders to report to Eden.

Lockheart: Were is the key word Briggs. Honestly I have no idea but looking at the ships here we maybe in for a bad day.
